The President of Mongolia appointed Tsogt Tsend, a Judge on the Administrative Court of Appeal of Mongolia, to serve on the country’s Supreme Court on December 15, 2020

The President of Mongolia, Kh.Battulga, issued Decree No. 77 on June 2, 2020, appointing Damdin Ganzorig as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia at the suggestion by the Supreme Court. U.Shijir, Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia, visited the Supreme Court and announced the decree of the President of Mongolia to all judges and staff of the court.

The ceremony of receiving Amarbayasgalan Bold, who was appointed as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia by the Decree No. 238 of the President of Mongolia dated December 30, 2019, took place at the Supreme Court.

Kh.Batsuren, Chief Judge of the Supreme Court, B.Tsogt, Presiding Justice of Chamber for Criminal cases, M.Batsuuri Presiding Justice of Chamber for Administrative Cases, E.Batbayar, Chairman of the Judicial General Council, and L.Atartsetseg, Member of the Judicial General Council have visited the Courts of Appeals in Criminal, Civil and Administrative matters and the First Instance Court of Administrative cases at the Capital City.

By the Decree No. 196 of the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga dated October 31, 2019, based on the recommendation of the session Justices of the Supreme Court, Atartsetseg Lhundev was appointed as a member of the Judicial General Council.  While she has been serving as member of Judicial General Council her term as a Justice of the Supreme Court suspended temporally.

Athletes composed of a staff of the Supreme Court won first place and win a gold medal at the “Mongolian Court Cup 2019” football match held in Sainshand soum of Dornogovi aimag on 4-5 May. More than 200 athletes from 12 courts competed in the competition.

The President of Mongolia, Kh.Battulga, issued Decree No. 74 on May 9, 2019, appointing Batsuren Khuhiisuren as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia by the suggestion of the Supreme Court. Z.Enkhbold, Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia, visited the Supreme Court and read out the decree of the President of Mongolia to all justices and staff of the court.

The Session of all justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia was held on May 30, 2018.

The Supreme Court team of athletes successfully participated in the "Sports Festival-2017" for the forthcoming Annual Movement Cup organized by the central law enforcement agencies.

Secretariat of the Assembly of States Parties of International Criminal Court has announced an election of six Judges to the International Criminal Court on march 07, 2017 and the registration of candidates was completed from 24 April to 16 July 2017.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Ts. Zorig welcomes delegation headed by the Minister of Justice of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Jue to the Supreme Court of Mongolia, on November 06, 2017.

On October 14, 2017, the ceremony of honor for A.Purevdulam who has been working as a court clerk at the Supreme Court of Mongolia, was held on the occasion of her retirement.

Altantsetseg Tseansuren, the journalist of the MNB, awarded Orden of Judicial Honor, decree issued by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Ts. Zorig, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian National Broadcaster. Also, journalist of Mongolian National Broadcaster and the producer of the of first channel G.Agaanorov was awarded the "Supreme Court honor certificate".

Presiding Justice Mr.Batsuuri and acting head of foreign relation Mr.D.Tulga are participated Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Forum on Judicial Cooperation organized the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China in frame work of the development of the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China, on September 25-27, 2017.

Kh.Batsuren, Supreme Court Justice, received delegates headed by Mr. John Knox, Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment, on September 25, 2017.

Presiding Justice of Chamber for Criminal Cases Mrs. T.Urantsetseg, received delegation presided by Mr.Passal Idu, the President of the French National Bar Council, and the Head of the Council for Europe and the International Committee Philip-Hen Dyustain on September 11, 2017.

The annual football tournament held amongst the courts around Ulaanbaatar city were successfully held on the 16th of September, 2017 in the green square of Baganuur district. A total of 10 court are participated in the cup, team of the Supreme Court team headed by A.Erdenet and won gold medal and championship trophy.

In the framework of implementing the revised Criminal Code, Presiding Justice of Chamber for Criminal Cases Mrs. T.Urantsetseg, Member of Parliament Mr. Kh.Nyambaatar, Deputy General Prosecutor Mr. G.Erdenebat and other officials are met the operation and process of prisoners who has reduced their sentence and exempted from criminal punishment on July 03 2017.

Presiding Justice for Administrative Cases, The Supreme Court of Mongolia Mr. M.Batsuuri and Head of Administrative Department of the Supreme Court of Mongolia Mr. J.Naranpurev received delegations of Organization of Security and Co-operation in Europa, Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Head of obseber Presidential Election, Ambassador, Mr. Gerd-Hinrich Arans, law expert Mariana Scopa on June 13, 2017.

The Supreme Court's setting in banc convened on June 6, 2017 and discussed the nomination of candidates for the Constitutional Tsets of Mongolia.

Supreme Court team has been successfully in participated sport event that includes six sport type, for the 90th anniversary of the Capital City Court and has won the sport event trophy.

The judicial training on civil law co-organized by Chamber for Civil Cases, Supreme Court, Judicial General Council and the German Agency for International Cooperation's project on "Legal Environment for Sustainable Economic Development" were held on 22-27 May 2017.

Furthermore, the international judges' attention was also on the subject of continuing judicial education through the development of judicial curricula by the international environmental law and monopolies, and the referee's institute's refinement.

The Supreme Court officials has participated in the training on disaster prevention and protection knowledge and skills training at the Disaster Protection and prevention Training and Center of the Capital City on March 22, 2017.

Mrs. Kh. Soninbayar, Presiding Justice of the Chamber for Civil of the Supreme Court of Mongolia and Justice Mrs B. Undrakh received the representatives of the Legal Research Institute under the Ministry of Justice of Japan on March 03, 2017. The Head of the delegation, Professor of International Cooperation at the Legal Research Institute under the Ministry of Justice and the Government representative, Mr. Kyo Hiroshi, pointed out that the purpose of our visit is to provide assistance and made cooperation in the legal field of Mongolia. The Institute has extensive experience in working with Indonesia, Cambodia, Nepal, and Vietnam to revise the Civil Code, Civil Proceedings Code, and improve intellectual property and family dispute proceeding.

The President of Mongolia’s decree number 183, date 28th of December 2016, Justices of Supreme Court G.Banzragch, and B.Munkhtuya’s acceptance reception held at Supreme Court. During the reception President’s legal advisor Mr. Ch.Unurbayar delivered the decree.

Mongolia’s modern judicial anniversary of 105th year, Mongolia’s Supreme Court’s anniversary of 90th year the President of Mongolia issued decree to award Batdelger Sodnomdarjaa to the State Merit Lawyer on Dec 28, 2016 for working continuously and effectively for the Supreme Court of Mongolia.

According to the agreement made between the Supreme Court of Mongolia and the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court of Kingdom of Spain in 2015, justice of the Supreme Court M.Batsuuri and his delegation undertook an official visit to the cities of Madrid and Barcelona on Oct 03-07, 2016 for the allocated training for judges and workforce of Mongolia’s court.

On May 25, 2016 congratulations ceremony held at the Supreme Court for newly appointed Judicial General council member, state honored  lawyer Mr. O.Zandraa who has been working as the Justice of the Supreme Court, by the Order of the President of Mongolia, number 59 issued on same day.

Discussion and meeting titled “Court process and judicial practice" organized by the Supreme Court regular held on February 3-4, 2016. During this event Justices of the Supreme Court of Mongolia has meet with Chief Judges of all levels of the court and discussed as well as  exchanged their views over proceedings of criminal, civil and administrative dispute and  concept and concerning issues on newly adopted laws as well as gave guideline and appropriative use of curtain disputes.

By the invitation of Chief justice of Kingdom of Spain Mr. Carlos D. Serrano, delegation led by justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia Mr. Kh. Batsuren are attended training at to Madrid and Barcelona, Kingdom of Spain, on January 23-31, 2016.

On the significant contribution on the judiciary reform of Mongolia, President bestowed upon Mr. Zorig Tsevegmed, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, the title of the State Merit Lawyer of Mongolia.

On occasion of the 2224th anniversary of the Mongolian First Statehood, 94th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, President of Mongolia awarded upon Mrs. Erdenesuvd, Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, as an ‘Altan Gadas’.

From November 18-26, 2015  Priding Justice of Chamber for Criminal Cases Mrs. T.Urantsesteg and Justice Mr. Ch.Khosbayar, the Supreme Court of Mongolia, are participated 14th annual Assembly of States Parties, to the International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute, in The Hague for the meetings.

Between November 30 to December 2, 2015 a delegation led by Mr. Hu Ifen, Director General of Department of Judicial Administration and Equipment Management of Supreme People’s Court of Inner Mongolia, paid official visit to Mongolia, by the invitation of the Supreme Court of Mongolia.

On September 08-14, 2015, the joint inspection unit stablished by following acts including Government degree number 195 on ‘Conducting Inspection’ dated on May 18, 2015; Prime Minister order number 124 ‘Confirming Guideline and Composition of Central Inception Commission’ dated May 18, 2015; National inspection schedule approved by the Minister of Justice, held inspection in the Supreme Court of Mongolia on judicial archives and record management.

Between September 10-13, 2015 Delegation led by Mr. WANG Shaonan, Director General of Department of Judicial Administration and Equipment Management of Supreme People’s Court of China paid official visit to the Mongolia, by the invitation of Mr. J.Naranpurev, Head of Administrative department of the Supreme Court of Mongolia.

On occasion of the 2224th anniversary of the Mongolian First Statehood, 94th anniversary of the People’s Revolution, President of Mongolia bestowed upon Mr. Zandraa Orosoo, Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, the title of the State Merit Lawyer of Mongolia. Also Justice Mr. Erdenebalsuren Damdin and Mrs. Davaadulam Sharkhichig researcher of administrative case at the Supreme Court of Mongolia are awarded with the ‘Altan Gadas’ as well as medical doctor of the Supreme Court Mrs. Ariunbolor Agvaanchultem awarded with the ‘Labor Honor Medal’ order by the ordinance of the President.

By the invitation of Chief justice of Kingdom of Spain Mr. Carlos D. Serrano, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia Mr. Ts. Zorig paid official visit to Madrid, Kingdom of Spain, on June 25-29, 2015.

The meeting seminar is held separately into 5 regions such as  east, west, central,  desert and mountainous areas of Mongolia and attended around 470 judges of 78 courts of first and appellative  instance.

The Supreme Court of Mongolia, Judicial General Council and GIZ’s project on ‘Economic development and sustainable legal framework’ together held a regular training on Civil Law, in June 2-5, 2015.  

From November 2014 to March 2015, the Supreme Court of Mongolia has announced Competitions amongst journalists titled “Court and Human right”.

On April 22, 2015 ceremony held at the Supreme Court for welcoming newly appointed following four Justices of Mrs. G.Altanchimeg, Mrs. P.Soyol-Erdene, Mrs P.Zolzaya and Mr Ch.Khosbayar by the Order of the President of Mongolia, number 58 issued on same day.

By the Presidential order no 51, dated on March 24, 2015 Justice Mrs. T.Urantsetseg appointed as a Presiding Justice of Chamber for Criminal Cases and Justice Mrs. Kh.Soninbayar also appointed as a Presiding Justice of Chamber for Civil Cases of Supreme Court of Mongolia.

On 10th January, 2015, retirement ceremony for honorable Justices of the Supreme Court of Mongolia Mr. S.Nyamjav, Mr. G.Dorjgotov, Mrs. D.Tungalag and Mrs. P.Tsetsgee were held at the Supreme Court of Mongolia.

Between 09-18 December, 2014 Justice of the Supreme Court Mrs. Ts.Amarsaikhan and an officer of the Foreign Relation and Cooperation Division Mr.D.Tulga have participated in the 15th International Conference of the Chief Justices of the World held at City Montessori School, Lucknow, India.

The President of the Mongolia, on December 05, 2014 issued an Order No. 145 to appoint following judges who were officials of the Supreme Court, Mrs.Ts.Sansarmaa as a judge of  2nd District Court of Civil, Mrs. B.Munkhzul 5th as a judge of Administrative court of First instance and Mrs. D.Yanjindulam as a judge of 5th Inter-sum Court.

Tsagaantsaaj and including judges of first and appellate instance courts of Mongolia attended training program titled ‘Capacity Building program on High Rankling Judicators of Mongolia’ organized by Supreme Court of Korea associated with KOICA took place at Seoul,  between June 24- July 09, 2014.

The Supreme Court, associated with Judicial General Council and International Development Law Organization together held a training, from May 5 to June 22 2014,  which is a main part of project titled “Judges Training on a Commercial law” and total of 200 judges were participated this training.

Mr. O.Zandraa Presiding Justice of Chamber for Administrative Cases term ends on 2014. Therefore The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj issued an Order no 42, dated on March 21, 2014, to appointing Justice Mr. M.Batsuuri as a Presiding Justice of Chamber for Administrative Cases.

Presiding Justice of Chamber for Civil cases Mrs. B.Undrakh receives Mr. V. Paton, special representative of International Law Development Organization /IDLO/, which is implementing project ‘Training the Judges on Commercial law’ and Mr. Carlos Escudero, Chief of Party in Mongolia, IDLO, on June 11, 2014.

10 years from now on June 1st, 2002 State Great Khural /parliament of Mongolia/ issued two main law titled ‘Procedure law on Administrative Case’ and ‘Law on Establishing Administrative Court’ which is birth of Administrative Court.

The Supreme Court of Mongolia organized number of events delegated to the anniversary of Administrative court and one of such event was Mock trial competition.

On March 26, 2014 Justice of Chamber for Civil cases of the Supreme Court of Mongolia receives delegation and represents of International Commercial Arbitration, who are participating ‘International Conference on Commercial Arbitration in Mongolia’. 

On March 20 2014 the Supreme Court, collaboration with Judicial General Council, Japan International Cooperation Agency known as  JICA and Mediation and Conciliation Council together held a training, aims for provide better knowledge on ADR, to all judges of civil courts located though  the Mongolia.

A delegation led by Mr. Ts.Zorig, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, paid an official visit to the International Criminal Court, on November 12-17, 2013 at the invitation of Mr. Sang-Hyun Song, the President of International Criminal Court, in Hague Netherlands.
