The President of Mongolia, Kh.Battulga, issued Decree No. 77 on June 2, 2020, appointing Damdin Ganzorig as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia at the suggestion by the Supreme Court. U.Shijir, Head of the Office of the President of Mongolia, visited the Supreme Court and announced the decree of the President of Mongolia to all judges and staff of the court.

   After the decree was announced, Mrs. Ch. Tungalag, Acting Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, handed over the court seal to Mr. D. Ganzorig, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia. In her speech on behalf of his colleagues, Mrs. Ch. Tungalag congratulated Mr. D. Ganzorig on his appointment to the position of Chief Justice of Mongolia and expressed his hope that he will continue to work honestly and principally and wish him all the best.
   D.Ganzorig, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mongolia, expressed his gratitude toward to Justices of the Supreme Court for nominating the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court which is a high position of responsibility. Also he stated that I will start office by ensuring the implementation of the independence of the judiciary and judges in accordance with its basic content and principles, democracy within the judiciary. He added, “In the future, we will work on the principle of being held accountable within the law for errors and omissions in the judicial process. I will hold the prestigious and responsible position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in a fair, principled and accountable manner.
